February 10, 2010, Dj Eque and I went to the Grand Opening of
THE COLOR PURPLE in Los Angeles, CA. The COLOR PURPLE is a soul-stirring musical based on the classic Pulitzer Prize –winning novel by Alice Walker and the film by Steven Spielberg. Fantasia gives a moving performance, the girl and ACT and SING! I also enjoyed actress, Felicia P. Fields who played "Sophia" she was amazing and funny. One of the highlights of my evening was being able to meet with one of my favorite R&B singers, Chaka Khan. Who is a lovely beautiful woman. The Pantages was filled with celebrities such as Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Monique Coleman, Della Resse, Bishop Nole Jones, Robi Reed, Tasha Smith, Tisha Campbell, Elise Neal, Keith Robinson, Shanice, Clifton Powel, Kim Whitley, Sheryl Lee, Erica Hubbard and Naturi Naughton.
