Monica Bowie...Black & Missing but not FORGOTTEN!

It's amazing how the internet is the highway to information. One day last week, I was on twitter. I follow Mary J. Blige, to my surprise she was re-tweeting a story about my cousin Monica Bowie. It's been well over two years since she has been missing and there are no new leads on this case. So I am taking it to my personal blog. It is my hope and prayer that someone might come across this blog and/or her story and may have information that will help. If you know anything, please contact the Atlanta police at the following numbers; Main number 404.875.5555 or HOTLINE 404.898.0100
Thank you for your support, Cheyenne Martin.

Wake Up Mainstream Media Campaign: Monica Renee Bowie (ATL)

On Monday,  April 12th, 2010 – a few days after missing woman Monica Renee Bowie’s birthday – we are planning to get the media to spotlight her case again. On this day, we ask that you join us in bombarding news stations, radio stations and local newspapers of Atlanta with flyers, websites, articles, photos – any information we have on Monica until her story is heard again.
The last time we heard about Monica was September of 2007…over 2 year overdue for an update. Will you join us in getting the word out about Monica again?
All that we ask of you is to send the local ATL media outlets (I listed some below) some information about Monica to get them started. You can email, fax, mail or call – it’s up to you. If you prefer social networking – a lot of media outlets nowadays have their own Facebook and Twitter account. Fan or follow them and let your voices be heard!
Below is not a comprehensive list of all the media outlets in Atlanta, it’s only a few that we are targeting. But if you know of any other – feel free to share that information with us for future references.
Don’t know what to say? No worries! - a simple retweet, or copy and paste will do. You can find plenty of information on Monica to share on our Facebook page for Monica [here].
Let’s show Monica and the Bowie family that we still care and that we demand coverage for her until she is found. If you have any questions or comments - feel free to shoot us and email at info@blackandmissing.org
